Kapel Fluweelengrot is an underground chapel found in a network of tunnels known as the Velvet Cave. The Velvet Cave is part of a sprawling castle ruins in Valkenburg, Netherlands known as Kasteelruïne Fluweelengrot. This historic castle endured many sieges until its destruction by the hands of King William III of England on December 10, 1672. Today, tours are available to explore the castle ruins and the Velvet Cave.
