Stroll through the main gate of Namhansanseong Fortress. This site had long been a defensive fortress, but it served as an emergency capital during the war against the Manchus in 1636-1637. Now, visitors come for the reconstructed buildings, hiking trails, and scenic views of Seoul. Namhansanseong was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.
